The Sales Associate will assist in receiving, stocking, pricing merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized store presentation and overall store cleanliness.

• Customer Service
  • Provide a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware.
  • Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
  • Greet customers upon entry and throughout the store.
  • Thank customers when they leave the store.
  • Maintain a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with all customers.
  • Answer all phone calls promptly, courteously, and effectively.
  • Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
  • Show strong product knowledge and familiarity with store layout and product locations.
  • Assist customers with personalized, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
• Store Operations
  • Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
  • Help receive, check in and stock merchandise throughout the store.
  • Maintain back stock levels and assist with daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
  • Assist with merchandise resets throughout the store.
  • Provide assistance to Department Specialists, such as price changes and special orders.
  • Keep signage current throughout the store.
  • Operate forklift with proper training.
  • Communicate any Store Support Center issue to the General Manager for follow‑up.
  • Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales ideas to the General Manager.
  • Participate in store meetings.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Formal retail experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and climb as required.

14.00 per hour.
