Overview

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse operations and help lead our warehouse team. In this role, you will assist with supervising receiving, shipping, inventory control, order fulfillment, equipment use, and overall workflow to ensure products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. Your leadership, organization, and hands-on warehouse experience will be essential to maintaining productivity, safety, and exceptional service for internal teams and customers.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Assistant , you will play a key role in supporting warehouse leadership and ensuring daily operations run smoothly. Responsibilities include assisting with team supervision, coordinating work assignments, monitoring inventory accuracy, supporting shipping and receiving activities, maintaining a safe and organized warehouse, and helping resolve operational issues as they arise. You will work closely with warehouse personnel, drivers, customer service, sales, and management to support timely order fulfillment and excellent service.

Your ability to lead by example, communicate clearly, and maintain high standards will directly contribute to the success of our operations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or material handling experience.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and support warehouse team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, accuracy, attendance, and productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a warehouse lead, assistant manager, supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred.
  • Experience with natural stone, engineered surfaces, building materials, tile, slab handling, or related products preferred.
  • Forklift, overhead crane, or other material handling equipment experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems, warehouse management procedures, shipping documentation, and order fulfillment processes.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations, staffing coordination, workflow, and task assignments.
  • Support receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, loading, unloading, and order fulfillment activities.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, assist with cycle counts, and help resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure warehouse team members follow company procedures, safety standards, equipment guidelines, and housekeeping expectations.
  • Train, coach, and support warehouse associates to improve productivity, accuracy, and safe work practices.
  • Coordinate with sales, customer service, drivers, and management to support timely and accurate customer orders.
  • Assist with investigating and resolving warehouse, delivery, product handling, or customer service issues professionally.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed and in accordance with company safety requirements.
Skills

Success in this role requires strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. The Warehouse Assistant Manager must be able to coordinate daily priorities, support team members, and maintain a safe, clean, and productive warehouse environment. Attention to detail is essential for inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, product handling, and documentation. The ability to work hands-on with warehouse staff, communicate professionally across departments, and respond quickly to changing priorities is important.
