The position focuses on cleaning and mechanical service activities rather than advanced electrical fault-finding. Regular UK travel and overnight stays are required.
The Role You will carry out cleaning of quartz sleeves, removal and refitting of UV lamps, routine inspections and minor mechanical strip-down/rebuild tasks, while supporting preventative maintenance and breakdown works. The role also includes completing digital service reports, maintaining safe working areas, and working in line with site RAMS and permit-to-work systems. Requirements Candidates must have industrial or site-based experience, practical mechanical aptitude, and confidence using hand tools in operational environments.
You should be comfortable working outdoors, physically capable, safety-focused, IT literate, and able to travel and stay away during the working week. A full UK driving licence is essential. Strong awareness of health & safety procedures and experience working under RAMS is required. Familiarity with permit-to-work systems is desirable. Desirable Qualifications & Training NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or similar Mechanical / Electrical qualification) EUSR Water Hygiene Card CSCS or ECS card Confined Space Training (Low/Medium Risk) First Aid at Work Manual Handling Training Whats On Offer £38,000 £ 40,000 per annum (DOE) Tools and equipment provided, Fully expensed company van with fuel card, 20 days hols plus bank.
