Our client, a reputable independent automotive workshop in Rugby, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician / Workshop Controller to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with proven technical expertise to take on a leadership position within a busy, well-equipped environment.

Duties of the Senior Technician / Workshop Controller:
  • Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding procedures on a variety of vehicles
  • Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
  • Conduct and oversee MOT testing in accordance with current legislation
  • Support and mentor other technicians within the workshop
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards
  • Assist in workshop planning and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve faults effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used as a Senior Technician / Workshop Controller
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • MOT Tester certification
  • Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding experience
  • Previous experience in a senior or lead technician role preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge beyond general workshop duties
  • Experience with in main dealer or independent workshops advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities
