Overview

Summit Dental seeks a Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and strong administrative capabilities. As the Patient Coordinator, you will manage daily front desk operations, coordinate appointments, handle correspondence, and support office management functions to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients.

Duties
  • Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls accurately and professionally.
  • Maintain an organized front desk area, including filing, data entry, and document proofreading for patient records.
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars using Dentrix dental software.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing patient/Doctor correspondence via email, phone, fax, and postal mail with attention to detail.
  • Support in Insurance Claim submittion and verification, preauthorizations, and Collection tasks, assisting with outstanding and Aging Reports .
  • Coordinate office supplies, inventory control, and general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Presenting dental treatment and financials to patients in detail with accuracy
Experience
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Dentrix Dental Software, preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse client needs effectively
  • Experience with front desk operations in medical or dental offices is a plus; familiarity with Dental/Medical receptionist duties is beneficial
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining accuracy in data entry and filing tasks
