American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 36-hour/week travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and a NM or Compact RN license.
Details- Small community hospital setting with 19 total beds, including a 6-bed ICU and 13-bed Med/Surg & Pediatrics unit
- ICU patient ratio of 3:1;
Med/Surg and Pediatrics ratio of up to 7:1 - Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Epic EMR used on-site; prior experience preferred but not required
- Active RN license in New Mexico or a Compact State
- Minimum 2 years of current ICU experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (both through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross), and NIHSS
- At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
- Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- English proficiency required (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Candidates must pass an on-site Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test, administered during first-day orientation, before beginning the assignment; one retest is permitted upon failure, but a second failure will result in contract termination
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff of Presbyterian Health Services must wait at least one year before being considered as a traveler
- No charge or preceptor responsibilities required
- Any color or pattern of scrubs is acceptable
