NMS Recruit are currently looking for experienced PSV Technicians / Bus Mechanics to support a number of busy transport operators across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced PSV Engineers looking for contract work, with ongoing assignments available across a number of London workshop locations.

The Role
As a PSV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a modern fleet of buses and commercial passenger vehicles.
Your duties will include:

· Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance

· Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and vehicle system faults

· Completing mechanical repairs to PSV vehicles

· Working on braking, suspension, steering and drivetrain systems

· Carrying out inspections and defect rectification

· Preparing vehicles for MOT and safety inspections

· Using diagnostic equipment where required

· Completing relevant maintenance documentation

· Ensuring vehicles are maintained to DVSA and operator standards
Requirements

· Previous experience working as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician

· Experience maintaining buses, coaches or heavy commercial vehicles

· NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent preferred

· Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

· Own tools where required

· Ability to work independently within a busy workshop environment

· A PSV licence is advantageous but not essential.
