Van Technician

Overview

Van Technician required in Runcorn for a well-established Main Dealer. Basic salary £34,000 with OTE £42,000. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00.

• Inspect and report defects, identify potential failures and document findings.
• Conduct thorough vehicle examinations, providing detailed reports on condition, safety, reliability and performance (including MOT assessments).
• Protect vehicles under repair and ensure cleanliness and absence of damage after work is completed.
• Attend relevant training courses and assist in training apprentices when required.
• Seek prior approval before fitting non-authorised parts; return parts for warranty claims and customer inspection as required.
• Complete service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer documentation and electronic records (e.g., PDI sheets) accurately and sign off.

• Level 3 Qualification (necessary).
• Experience working in a Main Dealer is preferable.
• MOT license is an added bonus but not essential.
• UK Driving Licence is required.
