Salary:
Up to £57,200 (DOE)
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8am to 6pm overtime available
We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established fast paced workshop in Rushden. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, fully equipped facility featuring hard standing, an inspection pit and pit lane, and on site brake testing equipment. You will be part of a skilled, supportive team working on a varied and interesting fleet including sweepers, beaver tails, articulated vehicles, trailers and cars, offering a diverse workload and strong opportunities to develop your technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair a mixed fleet including sweepers, beaver tails, articulated vehicles, trailers and cars
Diagnose and repair vehicle defects
Carry out PMIs and safety inspections
Perform brake testing and brake replacement
Complete routine servicing and occasional clutch replacements
Complete all job cards and maintenance records accurately
Work effectively as part of a workshop team and support colleagues when required
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow health and safety procedures
Requirements
Level 3 or time served HGV technician
Must have previous experience working as a HGV Mechanic
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety
