HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

Location: Rushden, Northampton
Salary: Up to £57,200 (DOE)
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 6pm overtime available

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established fast paced workshop in Rushden. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, fully equipped facility featuring hard standing, an inspection pit and pit lane, and on site brake testing equipment. You will be part of a skilled, supportive team working on a varied and interesting fleet including sweepers, beaver tails, articulated vehicles, trailers and cars, offering a diverse workload and strong opportunities to develop your technical skills.

• Maintain and repair a mixed fleet including sweepers, beaver tails, articulated vehicles, trailers and cars
• Diagnose and repair vehicle defects
• Carry out PMIs and safety inspections
• Perform brake testing and brake replacement
• Complete routine servicing and occasional clutch replacements
• Complete all job cards and maintenance records accurately
• Work effectively as part of a workshop team and support colleagues when required
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow health and safety procedures

• Level 3 or time served HGV technician
• Must have previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety

• Regular overtime available
