Environmental Health & Safety Intern – Russellville, Alabama

During this internship, you will help identify safety gaps and improve process efficiency, contributing a genuine impact to our operations. We are committed to your professional growth and career development.

• Support the safety and occupational health team.
• Assist in improving accident and illness prevention programs.
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments.
• Prepare and submit safety reports to management.
• Help with Workers’ Compensation and safety committees.
• Investigate accidents and track corrective actions.
• Participate in safety training sessions and promote safety awareness.
• Perform regular plant safety inspections.
• Assist in managing safety programs (exposure control, hazard communication, respiratory protection, hearing conservation).
• Ensure compliance with safety laws and company policies.
• Help set standards for PPE and machine guarding.
• Review and approve new or modified equipment for safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Enrolled in a four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

• Internship terms:
  Fall Semester – Part Time;
  Winter Semester – Part Time;
  Summer Semester – Full Time.

All new team members undergo drug, alcohol, and background checks post‑offer and prior to the start of employment. Verification of employment eligibility must be documented by the end of the third day of work.
