Prefab Supervisor

Receive requests from customers and sales for prefab products. Determine the production cost, raw material cost/availability, providing the information to sales for customer quote. After receiving the order, source raw material thru procurement, and place into prefab production schedule to meet customer required delivery time.

• Develops and maintains manufacturing operation business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle and production costs.
• Coordinate with production manager the treating and shipping of all prefab products.
• Maintain files on all prefab customer quotes, completed orders.
• Analyze expected cost and margin, comparing to actual.
• Execute prefab production plans and adjust based on changing customer demands.
• Ensure all products are produced on time and meet customer quality standards.
• Work with railroad engineers to ensure accuracy of all blueprints.
• Control prefab inventory, performing quarterly physical counts.
• Ensure company procedures/ policies are followed.
• Ensures compliance with government regulations pertaining to environmental controls, hazardous waste management and safety.
• Maintain individual skills, keeping up to date with new management concepts.
• Requires some domestic travel
• Participates and contributes to company safety program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Bachelors Degree or equal experience as determined by Management. Preferred areas of study include Engineering, Wood Science, Manufacturing, or Business Management.
• Experience:
  
  General experience in manufacturing, quality control, safety, and production processes. Experience specific to wood manufacturing, wood grading, and reading blueprints.
• License/Certification: NA

• Proficient with Microsoft operating systems
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• General experience in manufacturing, quality control, safety, and production processes.
• Experience specific to wood manufacturing, wood grading, reading blueprints
• Possess strong Management, Planning, Leadership and Communication Skills
• Strong ability to manage multiple demands, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines
