Everstead Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) MDS Coordinator to join our leadership team in Russellville, Alabama.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who understands the skilled nursing reimbursement process, enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration, and is passionate about ensuring accurate assessments, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
At Everstead Health & Rehabilitation, you will be supported by an experienced clinical team and leadership group committed to resident-centered care and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and complete MDS assessments in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Ensure accurate RAI process completion and timely submission of assessments
- Monitor Medicare, Managed Care, and Medicaid reimbursement opportunities
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary team members
- Review documentation to support accurate coding and reimbursement
- Participate in care plan meetings and resident care conferences
- Monitor quality measures and assist with performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with CMS regulations and facility policies
- Assist with audits and survey preparedness activities
- Support clinical leadership team with reimbursement and quality initiatives
- Active Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Previous MDS Coordinator experience preferred
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of PDPM, Medicare, Medicaid, and MDS 3.0 requirements
- Strong assessment, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
