Charge Nurse; RN - Med Surg Nights

The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization to hire a Full-Time Night Shift Charge RN for its Medical‑Surgical unit. In this leadership role, you'll combine direct patient care with team leadership, guiding dedicated nursing staff while supporting exceptional patient outcomes and efficient unit operations.

Full-Time | Night Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily unit operations during your shift
• Assign and support nursing staff based on patient acuity and unit needs
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow
• Serve as a mentor, clinical resource, and leader for the nursing team
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Alabama RN license or Multi‑State Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire; PALS preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg or acute care nursing experience
• Previous Charge Nurse or leadership experience
