The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Russellville, Alabama to hire compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for the Med‑Surg unit. As a CNA on the Med‑Surg unit, you will play a vital role in supporting nurses and caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Your work directly contributes to patient comfort, safety, recovery, and the overall success of the care team in a dynamic hospital setting.

Schedule: Full‑Time | Nights

What You’ll Do
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
  • Monitor and accurately record vital signs, intake/output, and other patient information
  • Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers throughout the unit
  • Assist with ambulation, repositioning, and fall prevention measures
  • Provide post‑operative care support by monitoring patient comfort and reporting concerns
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe patient rooms and clinical areas
  • Respond promptly and compassionately to call lights and patient needs
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN or care team
  • Assist with specimen collection and transport following protocol
  • Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times
  • Deliver exceptional, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced Med‑Surg environment
What We’re Looking For
  • CNA certification required (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience in a hospital or Med‑Surg setting preferred
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, organizational and multitasking skills
  • Compassionate, patient‑focused care with a commitment to safety and confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in fast‑paced environments
