Project Manager will lead his or her team on assigned projects from preconstruction, through bidding, planning and buyout, construction, close-out and warranty. As a representative of VHC, our project managers must above all, secure client satisfaction while providing quality results. These will be obtained by keeping projects on schedule and on or below budget. Project Manager will work directly with Project Superintendents and Engineers, following corporate policies and procedures and upholding VHC's ethics, values and integrity.
Dutiesand responsibilities
- Develop project management plans including safety, quality and site logistics, with the support of Project Team
- Manage Project finances, from budgeting to monthly billings and final closeout, frequently updating projected final costs, to ensure profitability goals are achieved
- Be involved in project interviews
- Lead project development through the Preconstruction phase
- Manage commitments to Subcontractors and Suppliers, ensuring internal compliance with procurement policies and vendor compliance with contract terms
- Work with Project Team and safety staff to ensure the safe execution of projects with a zero jobsite incidents goal
- Maintain positive relations with current and potential clients and designers
- Represent VHC in public relations efforts such as participation in community and industry organizations and company events
- All other tasks as assigned

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- At least five years in WATER/WASTEWATER construction experience (residential will not qualify)
- A four-year college degree in a Construction or similar program is preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Must be willing to speak before groups in project interviews and presentations
- Frequently lift 20 to 25 pounds
- Continuously sit, stand or walk
- Bend, squat and climb stairs or ladders
- Overnight Travel as required
