The Scheduler schedules patient testing/procedures/admissions; obtains pre-cert/authorization numbers and enters in the scheduling or registration system; obtains and enters accurate insurance information; answers incoming phone calls.
Minimum Requirements:Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Three years of directly related experience may be substituted for the required education.
Experience:
Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred. Medical terminology, billing, and/or collection experience preferred. Computer experience required.
