Position: Travel Physical Therapist - $2,054 per week

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in physical therapy
  • Physical Therapy experience (New graduates welcome)
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required
Summary

The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, or rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent.

Essential Work Functions
  • Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history.
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
  • English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
  • PC skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical Abilities – maintain stationary positions, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend.
  • Interpersonal Skills – collaborate effectively with diverse personnel.
  • Technical/Motor Skills – fine manipulation and proper use of department equipment.
  • Mental Requirements – cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines, handle irregular schedules.
  • Sensory – visual acuity and clear communication.
