- At least 1 year of prior experience driving a commercial vehicle over the road.
- Possess and maintain a valid CDL driver's license.
- Checks of prior employment must be acceptable.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to make overnight trips on an average of two nights per week.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and call‑in with short notice.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Receive and understand instructions from Dispatcher, Shipping Supervisor, and external customers.
- Maintain the highest respect for the customer and meet their needs.
- Communicate and relay information to others.
- Operate and maintain a clean and serviceable MVR within company’s guidelines, including fueling and checking/refilling equipment’s required fluid levels of unit(s) used.
- Properly follow administrative procedures regarding billing and manifest paperwork.
- Transport and deliver materials and services per customer requirements.
- Know, understand, and comply with all State and Federal DOT rules and regulations governing the operation of tractor‑trailers and transportation of company products and materials, including maintaining accurate DOT logs.
- Report conditions that may affect the operations of the trucks and trailers.
- Deliver product as scheduled.
- Assist in loading and unloading.
- Lifting more than 75 lbs.
- Perform checks on equipment and/or vehicle at start, during, and end of use.
- Report any errors or customer concerns to company management as soon as practical.
