Electrician

Job Purpose

We are an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Construction Company seeking a diligent and experienced Electrician to join our maintenance contract team in Rustenburg.

The successful candidate will support the Site Manager by ensuring that allocated work is completed on time, in accordance with specifications, contract requirements, and maintenance plans. You will maintain positive relationships with the client, subcontractors, and site personnel while contributing to a safe and productive working environment.

Ensure productive utilization of all site resources.

Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance progress reports.

Liaise with the client on all site-related maintenance matters.

Support the management of design updates, drawings, and quality documentation.

Maintain a clear understanding of the scope of work, specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Perform all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Support contract profitability through accurate record keeping and adherence to planned activities.

Identify and report additional work requirements or scope changes.

Complete allocated tasks on time, within budget, and according to contract specifications.

Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.

Assist with manpower and material planning.

Proven experience as an Electrician.

Preferably 5 years or more experience in an E&I construction or maintenance environment.

Completed in-service training.

Valid logbook.

Basic computer literacy.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and site management.

Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Ability to identify changes in construction or maintenance scope and report them appropriately.

Ability to monitor project performance and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
