About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Telecoms Field Service Engineer to support their operations in Rustenburg . You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and systems at client sites across the region. This role demands strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously while representing the company professionally. You will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance of telecoms infrastructure and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction in North West .
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications hardware and software solutions.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on network equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by clients in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare reports for new installations and upgrades.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and client technical staff.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all site visits and interventions.
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer in the telecommunications sector.
- Strong understanding of telecoms technologies, including mobile networks, fixed-line, and data transmission.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment relevant to the field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel extensively within the Rustenburg region and surrounding areas.
