• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, and customer premise devices.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic checks on network infrastructure to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in telecommunications systems, ensuring minimal disruption to service for clients in Rustenburg and surrounding areas.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repair requests, working efficiently to restore connectivity.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company guidelines while on client premises.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment used, and time spent on each task using company-provided tools.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Telecommunications or Electronics is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Telecoms Field Technician or in a similar role involving installation and repair.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software relevant to telecommunications.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling, installation techniques, and termination.
• Strong understanding of basic networking principles and telecommunications protocols.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle physical demands of the job, including climbing and working in various weather conditions.
