Mine Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Mine Operations Supervisor to join their team in Rustenburg . You will oversee daily mining activities, ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to safety protocols, and effective team management. This role requires a hands‑on approach, working closely with underground operations and ensuring that production targets are met safely and sustainably. You will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of operational performance and fostering a productive, safe working environment within the mine, contributing to the overall success of the operation.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of mining crews, including drill and blast, load and haul, and ground support.
• Ensure strict adherence to all mine safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor production output and operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks with operational teams.
• Manage equipment usage and maintenance coordination to minimize downtime.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and safety awareness.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground mining operations.
• Proven supervisory experience in a mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid Mine Overseer's Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and sometimes challenging underground environment.
