About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and diligent Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their industrial operations team in Rustenburg . This essential role focuses on ensuring the optimal functioning and longevity of electrical equipment and systems within our facilities. You will be responsible for routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, playing a critical part in maintaining operational uptime and safety standards. This is a hands‑on position that requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest levels of electrical system integrity in a demanding industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment, including motors, generators, control panels, and lighting systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions, implementing timely and effective repairs.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
- Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and provide immediate support to minimize disruption.
- Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Electrician) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety.
