Senior Telecom Technician

Our client requires a dedicated and experienced Senior Telecom Technician to join their field operations team in Rustenburg . This hands-on role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and systems across various client sites. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and technical excellence, directly impacting customer satisfaction and network reliability.

This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety in all field operations, contributing to the robust operational framework of the company.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications hardware, including fiber optic cables, base stations, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on network infrastructure to identify and address potential issues.
• Respond to service outages and technical faults, performing rapid diagnostics and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Work with blueprints and technical diagrams to accurately install and maintain systems.
• Maintain detailed records of all service calls, installations, and repairs performed.

• National Certificate or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications , or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Telecom Technician , with a proven track record in field service.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optics, copper cabling, and wireless communication systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment used in the telecom industry.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various work locations.
