Farm Machinery Specialist

Our client is looking for a skilled Farm Machinery Specialist to join their team in Rustenburg, North West , contributing to the efficiency and productivity of agricultural operations. This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site technical expertise and remote coordination to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of farm equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of agricultural machinery, as well as advising on equipment selection and upgrades.

This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a deep understanding of farm technology and a commitment to operational excellence, playing a key role in supporting the agricultural community in the Rustenburg area.

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various types of farm machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all machinery is operating efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime during critical agricultural seasons.
• Advise on the proper use, operation, and upkeep of new and existing farm equipment.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables for machinery maintenance.
• Collaborate with farm managers and operators to schedule maintenance and address equipment issues promptly.

• A trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Machinery, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of tractors, harvesters, and implements.
• Knowledge of various agricultural equipment brands and their specific maintenance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
