Our client is seeking a dedicated and hands-on individual to embark on a Trainee Welder apprenticeship in Rustenburg . This program is designed for aspiring welders to gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. You will work alongside skilled professionals, contributing to fabrication and repair projects within manufacturing and construction environments. This role offers a fantastic pathway into a skilled trade, emphasizing safety, precision, and quality craftsmanship, with opportunities to work on diverse industrial applications specific to the North West region.
Key Responsibilities- Learn and apply various welding techniques safely and effectively.
- Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting.
- Assemble and fabricate metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Inspect welds for quality and adherence to standards, making necessary adjustments.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in demanding conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
- A strong commitment to safety and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Completion of secondary education is required; technical subjects are a plus.
- Reliable transportation to reach the workshop in Rustenburg .
