Trainee Mechanical Fitter

Our client is recruiting for a Trainee Mechanical Fitter position in Rustenburg , offering a structured apprenticeship to individuals passionate about mechanics and engineering. You will work alongside skilled fitters, learning to assemble, install, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment. This role involves developing expertise in reading technical drawings, using precision tools, and understanding complex mechanical systems. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to build a solid foundation in a rewarding trade, contributing to the operational efficiency of various industrial processes.

• Assist in the assembly and installation of mechanical components and systems according to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and lubrication of machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns under supervision.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, with technical drawing and mathematics advantageous.
• A strong aptitude for mechanical tasks and problem-solving.
• Ability to work accurately with tools and measurements.
• Good physical stamina and willingness to perform manual labor.
