Senior Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join their manufacturing plant in Rustenburg . This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all plant machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the production line.

This is a hands-on position requiring a strong technical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Perform complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on production machinery.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to perform repairs and installations.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including parts used and labor hours.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair calls and ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians, sharing expertise and best practices in maintenance procedures.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex machinery.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Relevant trade certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
