Plant Electrician

Our client is looking for a highly competent Plant Electrician to join their operations in Rustenburg . This critical role involves maintaining and repairing all electrical systems and equipment within our plant, ensuring continuous and safe production. You will work closely with the engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot complex electrical problems and implement effective solutions. As a key member of the maintenance department, your expertise will be vital in maximizing equipment uptime and ensuring adherence to stringent safety protocols in the North West province.

• Install, service, and repair electrical equipment, including motors, generators, switch gear, and control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to schedules to prevent equipment failures.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and ensure rapid resolution to minimize production loss.
• Interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications for installation and repair work.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance and repair activities performed.

• Qualified Plant Electrician with a relevant trade certificate or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of power systems, control circuits, and instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced plant environment.
