Overview

Applications are invited for Lecturer positions in the Mathematics and Statistics program within the College of Engineering and Science (COES). Lecturers in COES are integral to the college’s mission, teaching and participating in committees, providing leadership in courses and other areas of institutional need, and are eligible for a promotion pathway that parallels the traditional tenure track.

• Teach courses in Mathematics and Statistics as assigned.
• Populate and chair various committees and provide leadership across programs and courses as needed.
• Contribute to institutional needs and participate in activities that support the college’s mission.
• Pursue a promotion pathway that parallels a traditional tenure track.

• Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics or a closely related field with significant graduate work in these disciplines.
• Demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching, strong written and oral communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality student work.
• Ability to work collegially as well as independently; strong leadership and organizational skills; and a willingness to stay current with developments in Mathematics and Statistics.
• All areas of expertise in the discipline will be considered.
