Position Overview
Louisiana Tech University invites applications for one (1) or more lecturer positions in Chemistry. The main instructional responsibilities for this position will be General Chemistry, with experience teaching Organic or Physical chemistry lectures or labs a plus. The position may include setting up and teaching labs in the candidate’s area of expertise, including maintenance and care of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Supervision of undergraduate Capstone research students is expected. The projected start date is September 1, 2026.
Lecturer candidates must have an earned doctorate in chemistry or a closely related field. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong teaching skills, display a commitment to high-quality professional service, and will actively participate in program and college responsibilities, including service on committees and directing undergraduate research.
