We are on the lookout for a skilled Lead Project Manager to join our Program Management team. This role is pivotal in executing high-impact hyperscale and edge data center projects.

As the Lead Project Manager, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of data center builds, particularly in Louisiana. Your expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) coordination, modular construction techniques, and familiarity with local commercial licensing and environmental regulations will be crucial. You will manage the delivery of facilities with power envelopes between 50-100MW, navigate complex utility interconnections, and address local stakeholder concerns.

Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Schedule Management
  • Guide the planning and execution of data center construction with a focus on efficient delivery timelines.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, cost controls, and schedules across all phases including design, permitting, site development, and construction.
  • Leverage project management tools and BIM (Building Information Modeling) for risk management and modular component coordination.
  • Handle long‑lead procurement cycles for critical equipment.
  • Serve as the technical liaison among engineering teams, designers, construction partners, and utility stakeholders.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
  • Ensure adherence to the requirements set by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC).
  • Stay informed on evolving legislation affecting data centers in Louisiana.
  • Oversee the acquisition of necessary permits and environmental assessments at both the local and state levels.
Technical Oversight
  • Lead the integration of high‑density cooling systems and battery energy storage solutions.
  • Supervise commissioning processes to ensure operational reliability standards are met.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction managers during all project phases.
  • Report on progress and milestones across all stages of the project.
Financial & Contract Management
  • Negotiate and manage subcontracts, ensuring compliance with Louisiana licensing for specialty work.
  • Review and approve contractual documents and financial reports.
  • Assess the financial impacts of scope changes and negotiate necessary adjustments with clients.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in Mission Critical/Data Center projects.
  • Thorough understanding of LSLBC contractor requirements.
  • Strong background in MEP‑heavy projects.
  • Familiarity with construction management software.
  • Experience as an owner’s representative or program manager.
  • Proficient in project controls and reporting tools.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and maintain a presence during construction phases.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with local Louisiana utility providers.
  • Possession of Louisiana Qualifying Party status.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or CCM.
