Project Engineer/Project Manager

Position Overview:

HGA is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Project Manager to support the construction of a major industrial manufacturing facility in Waggaman, Louisiana. This approximately 12-month assignment will provide engineering and project management support throughout the construction phase, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site position offering the opportunity to support a high-profile industrial construction project from construction through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate engineering and construction activities with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and overall progress
• Review engineering deliverables, technical documentation, and construction packages
• Support field execution by identifying and resolving technical and project-related issues
• Track project milestones, action items, and performance metrics
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements
• Assist with change management, document control, and project reporting

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of project engineering or project management experience supporting industrial capital projects
• Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project execution
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting construction of chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, or heavy industrial facilities
• Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar
