Microelectronics R&D Engineer

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is searching for a talented candidate to join our Electronic Systems and Cyber Technologies Group. This person will provide technical research and microelectronics design with an emphasis on hardware security and testing. This person will work with a multi-disciplined team involving research into microelectronic trends and hardware vulnerabilities including hardware exploitation, side-channel attacks, and anti-tamper techniques.

This person will be required to design and test printed circuit boards (PCBs), design and simulate analog circuits, and prototype designs on a field programmable gate array (FPGA). This person needs to have innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills, and adaptive thinking. They will need to have strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. They must work well in a fast-paced mission-driven environment.

Required Qualifications MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or relevant technical field (Two years of hardware engineering experience can substitute for the Master’s degree)
US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance

Must be detail oriented with respect to work organization and documentation

Ability to efficiently evaluate and solve problems

Must be self-motivated and work well on a team both local and distributed

Desired Qualifications/

Skills:

Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering Hardware design languages
- Verilog/VHDL/System Verilog Digital/analog circuit design and testing SPICE simulation PCB designC/C++Embedded Programming using Linux OS with drivers or bare metal and debugging via JTAGSignal Processing / Data Analysis Hardware Security experience

Cryptographic algorithms and applications

Python

Test environment creation/maintenance in simulation and development board

Desired Tool

Experience:

FPGA tools
- Quartus/Vivado Circuit Simulation – LTSpice, SpectrePC board design
- Altium, AllegroMS Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
