Description of job:  A Scrub Tech at Northern Louisiana Medical Center is responsible for preparing and maintaining a sterile surgical environment, assisting surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies, and ensuring patient safety throughout the operation. They collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to strict infection control protocols. Additionally, they are tasked with sterilizing equipment, maintaining inventory, and supporting pre- and post-operative setup and cleanup.

Qualifications:

Current BLS certifications
Current CST Diploma/Certification
1+ year experience required

Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment in compliance with aseptic techniques.
Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies promptly and accurately.
Ensure equipment functionality and availability by inspecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical tools before and after use.
Monitor and adhere to infection control protocols to maintain patient safety and operating room cleanliness.
Support pre- and post-operative tasks, including patient preparation, room setup, and cleanup after procedures.
