• Perform and evaluate laboratory analysis on blood and other body fluids.
• Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to review lab results and confirm diagnoses.
• Perform quality assurance testing and instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist laboratory scientists by utilizing microscopes, cell counters, and other high-precision lab equipment to examine and analyze blood, body fluids, tissues, and cells.
• Investigate and resolve problems and unusual situations. Ensure patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning.
• Evaluate and implement new methodologies and procedures as assigned by supervisors.
• Use medical center and laboratory computer systems in the performance of daily tasks.
• Generate appropriate and required documentation of testing and support procedures.

• Minimum 1 year of recent medical laboratory experience; must have experience working as a generalist (chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis).
• Must have BLS and ASCP or AMT-MLT National Certification.
• Associate degree in science or a health-related field (e.g., chemistry or microbiology) is required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean, or stoop as needed; specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Total Med Allied Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Posted job title:
