Roll Mechanic

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

* Disassembly and reassembly of bearing housings, and internal roll components using air tools, hand tools and bearing pullers.

* Inspection of roll components and parts.

* Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and performance.

* Help meet or exceed quality goals through a quality maintenance program.

* Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

* Experience:

2 years of relevant manufacturing, mechanical, or millwright experience, or 2 years technical training preferred.

* Languages:

English

* Must be an excellent communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

* Requires knowledge of computers with skills in Excel and Word

* Basic hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, cutting with a torch, basic layout, blueprint reading, precision measurement, bearings, chains, sprockets, and troubleshooting techniques

* Basic computer /data entry skills

* Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, and stooping).
