Job Title
The MRO/Inventory Coordinator has responsibility and accountability for all MRO parts, supplies, and equipment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain a well-organized environment by categorizing items with proper labels
- Load/unload delivered or picked up inventory supplies
- Ensure all items match purchase orders and report any discrepancies
- Ensure timely receipt of all inventory items into the inventory system
- Work with Suppliers to return defective or incorrect items
- Create purchase orders for new and restock inventory items
- Conduct regular checks to verify stock levels and address any discrepancies
- Manages inventory accuracy service level metrics (cycle count)
- Validate MRO auto-reorder of parts (min/max levels)
- Ensure new inventory items are not duplicated in the system
- Creates New Material numbers for parts in SAP system
- Conduct business with vendors on inventory and services
- Supports maintenance ensuring team has all necessary parts and tools for assigned task
- Assists Maintenance Planner with maintenance work orders
- Verify all parts and tools are in stock to ensure the Mechanics can complete work orders
- Wears all personal protective equipment as required by management
- Always keeps equipment and work areas clean and orderly by following the principles of 5S
- Maintains scrap metal and schedules pick up when needed
- Certified Forklift Driver
- Performs other duties as assigned
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or
Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or (GED)
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Industrial Maintenance Experience
- Manufacturing Experience
- Familiarity with software used for tracking inventory; (SAP-preferred)
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and communicate accurately with coworkers. The employee will frequently engage in repetitive motions. The employee must frequently, lift, push or pull 25 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Visual acuity is required to work around and with machinery including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
This job is in an industrial, manufacturing environment. The job requires working frequently around and with heavy machinery with moving mechanical parts, industrial ovens, and mobile equipment. The environment is not climate controlled, and employees must be able to work in environments that may be extremely hot and humid or cold depending upon the operation and the season. Walking surfaces can be wet, dusty, and uneven.
Areas of the building where work must be done have high noise levels, vibration, and/or fumes. Some working areas contain the presence of airborne particles which can irritate the skin or eyes. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment which includes steel toed shoes, ear protection, eye protection and in certain areas may be required to wear dust masks, gloves, respirators, or head protection.
