Ruston, LA Pay Rate: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour
Shift: 6 AM – 2 PM | 2 PM

Perform setup, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of paper machine rolls across various sizes. Ensure adherence to quality standards during repair procedures, prioritizing efficiency and safety. Demonstrate proficiency in repair practices, with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical assemblies and diverse roll types. Apply knowledge of equipment usage within paper machine manufacturing operations and associated machinery. Execute tasks involving the lifting and movement of heavy loads using overhead cranes.
Apply expertise in setups and protocols pertinent to large equipment maintenance.
Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience Requirements 1+ years of experience Able to handle mechanical tooling, including drills, taps, pullers, bearing heaters, and presses Experience operating a 25-ton overhead crane, forklift truck, hand truck, and hand tools Physical Capabilities The ability to lift 50 pounds Steel-toe boots

As a Mechanical Roll Technician you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
