Sales Representative, Business Development
Bienville Lumber Company, LLC is seeking a motivated and results-driven Lumber Sales Representative to join our growing team in Ruston, Louisiana.
As a member of our sales team, you will serve as a trusted resource to customers by providing product knowledge, pricing information, and responsive customer service while supporting the company's commitment to quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Generate sales through outbound calls, networking, prospecting, and lead generation activities.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and specifications.
- Follow up with customers regarding orders, requests, feedback, and sales opportunities.
- Coordinate and schedule customer meetings, sales calls, and other business development activities.
- Monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits as needed.
- Travel up to 30%.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales information within company databases and systems.
- Prepare and process customer information to support sales, billing, and communication activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of customer interactions and sales activities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous sales experience preferred; experience in lumber, building materials, or forest products is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for customer visits, travel, or trade shows.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with prospecting, cold calling, and business development activities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
