• Perform setup, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of paper machine rolls across various sizes.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards during repair procedures, prioritizing efficiency and safety.
• Demonstrate proficiency in repair practices, with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical assemblies and diverse roll types.
• Apply knowledge of equipment usage within paper machine manufacturing operations and associated machinery.
• Execute tasks involving the lifting and movement of heavy loads using overhead cranes.
• Apply expertise in setups and protocols pertinent to large equipment maintenance.

High school diploma or GED required. Technical school, vocational training, apprenticeship experience, or industrial maintenance education is preferred. Preferred high school diploma, though experience may offset this requirement as determined by management.

Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery or production equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of bearings, belts, chains, gears, motors, pumps, and related components. Ability to read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, diagrams, and maintenance documentation. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and diagnostic equipment. Commitment to preventative maintenance, workplace safety, quality workmanship, and dependable attendance. Minimum of 1+years, Proficiency in handling mechanical tooling, including drills, taps, pullers, bearing heaters, and presses.

Experience operating a 25-ton overhead crane, forklift truck, hand truck, and hand tools.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in varied positions throughout the shift. Ability to lift tools, replacement parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity to safely operate tools, perform repairs, and handle mechanical components. Ability to work safely around moving machinery, elevated surfaces, confined areas, and industrial equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment.
