The Label Technician performs a variety of general labor, fabrication, and assembly duties in a fast-paced pre-fabrication shop environment. This role supports welders and fabricators, prepares materials and tools, operates hand and power tools, and helps assemble mechanical components according to technical specifications while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

• Perform general labor duties such as drilling, cutting, and other construction-type tasks related to fabrication and pre-fabrication work.

• Assist welders and fabricators with daily tasks, including preparing materials, tools, and work areas for welding and fabrication activities.

• Prepare and stage materials, components, and tools needed for welding, fabrication, and assembly operations.

• Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and tools to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient workspace.

• Load and unload materials and products, including moving items within the shop as directed.

• Operate basic hand tools and power tools to complete fabrication, cutting, drilling, and assembly tasks.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand job requirements and assembly specifications.

• Assemble mechanical components and systems according to specifications and technical drawings.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete mechanical assemblies and fabrication tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Inspect and test completed assemblies to verify they meet quality standards and specified requirements.

• Identify and report any issues, defects, or nonconformities in the assembly or fabrication process to supervisors.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools, materials, and equipment.

• Follow all safety protocols and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe boots and safety glasses.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support overall shop operations and production needs.

• Experience performing general labor duties such as drilling, cutting, and construction-type tasks in a shop or production environment.

• Ability to safely operate basic hand tools and power tools used in fabrication and assembly work.

• Capability to load and unload materials and products, including handling physically demanding tasks.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to follow fabrication and assembly specifications.

• Skill in assembling mechanical components and systems according to written and visual instructions.

• Attention to detail when inspecting and testing completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.

• Strong commitment to following safety protocols and consistently using required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, repetitive, and construction-related pre-fabrication shop environment.

• Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production demands.

• Ability to collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals.

• General labor, production, or construction-related work.

• Experience using hand tools and power tools in a shop, manufacturing, or fabrication setting.

• Comfort working around welding, fabrication equipment, and mechanical assemblies.

• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.

• Strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced production environment.
