HIRING IMMEDIATELY: LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR IN RUTHER GLEN, VIRGINIA
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Logistics supervisor to join our team in Ruther Glen, Virginia. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily transportation and logistics operations, managing dispatch activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in transportation or logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Pay, Schedule, and Location- $30.77/hour

- Located in Ruther Glen, Virginia
- Lead daily logistics operations, dispatch, and workflow to ensure efficient transportation services.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, customer requirements, and transportation regulations.
- Manage customer load quotes, carrier selection, rate negotiations, and shipment tracking.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers and carriers, providing timely shipment updates.
- Monitor carrier performance, resolve shipment issues, and improve logistics processes.
- Train, coach, and evaluate dispatch staff while fostering a positive team environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and shipment records.
- Support daily operations by stepping into key roles as needed and remain on-call for emergencies.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of transportation, logistics, brokerage, or 3PL experience.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation operations, and load planning.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS);
Truck Mate, PC Miler, Fleetmatics, or Road Net preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills; bilingual is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a warehouse/distribution environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call emergencies.
