A growing, full-service engineering and consulting firm is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Manager to join its Traffic Engineering team. The selected candidate will support and mentor junior staff while leading traffic and transportation projects from concept through approval.
- Preparing traffic impact and parking studies
- Performing intersection capacity and operational analyses
- Designing traffic signal systems and roadway improvements
- Developing traffic control and maintenance plans
- Creating signal timing directives
- Preparing technical reports and agency submissions
- Supporting zoning and land development permitting
- Conducting field inspections and coordination
- Presenting projects to municipal, county, and state agencies
- Training and oversight of entry- and mid-level engineers and analysts
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 6 years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering
- Proficiency with Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/Sim Traffic
- Experience with traffic studies, signal design, and roadway projects
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Self‑motivated with a growth mindset
- Experience with zoning and site plan approvals is a plus but not required
- Salary Range: $100,000 – $180,000 (commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications, plus bonus eligibility)
