Job Summary
Oversees the daily operations of over 30 clinical staff across multiple locations and works closely with the front office manager to ensure a safe, productive, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, providers, and staff.
Responsibilities- Develops and maintains professional relationships with internal & external staff, teams, contacts, and patients.
- Routinely meets with staff, leads, and Front Office Manager to review clinic operations status, needs, and issues.
- Monitors treatment, provider, and lab schedules daily for appropriate distribution and add‑on patient visits.
- Assesses staffing needs and determines the adequate number of personnel needed to provide safe, high‑quality patient care.
- Creates and distributes staff schedules based on daily, weekly, and monthly visit schedules.
- Regularly audits clinic workflows to ensure processes are in place and functioning as expected.
- Performs clinical duties as needed, including RN, Medical Assistant, etc.
- Inventory patient education materials and orders additional material to keep supplies adequate.
- Conducts monthly staff meetings.
- Delegates tasks and follows up to ensure completion on time.
- Monitors and approves staff timecards and time‑off requests.
- Participates in, manages, and hires staff, onboarding, discipline, and termination processes.
- Supports and develops clinical staff to meet or exceed performance expectations.
- Mentors, coaches, counsels, and implements developmental or performance improvement plans.
- Completes annual staff performance evaluations by assigned due date.
- Ensures all assigned individual and staff competencies and continuing education modules are completed on time.
- Participates in meetings, projects, and committees as needed.
- Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of current developments and standards in cancer diagnosis, oncology practices, and treatments.
- Ability to multi‑task and cope with a high‑demand workload.
- Ability to empathize with patients and families and manage challenging interactions.
- Ability to collaborate with the health care team to optimize patient and employee experience.
- Current RN License and CPR certification.
- At least 3–5 years of experience as an RN in oncology.
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Baccalaureate degree.
- Certification in Oncology and Chemotherapy.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of EMR systems (preferably OncoEMR).
- Willingness to travel to all office sites.
