Estate Host | Wine Sales Ambassador

Compensation: $28.00 – $34.00/hr base + unlimited commission | Full-Time

Martin Estate is one of Napa Valley's few pre-Prohibition châteaux, with roots dating back to 1887. We produce ultra-premium, estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons sourced exclusively from our Rutherford vineyard. We are not open to the public - tastings are by appointment only for prospective clients and existing members. As we enter our next chapter under new leadership, we are building a team that honors our 130+ year legacy while helping shape our future.

As an Estate Host, you will represent Martin Estate by leading private tastings, cultivating meaningful relationships with discerning guests, and converting visits into memberships and direct-to-consumer sales. This is a luxury hospitality role with clear sales accountability and strong earning potential. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor with guests, personally driving results, and growing alongside a small, high-performing team.

• Host private, appointment-only tastings that educate and inspire guests
• Drive membership conversions and direct-to-consumer wine sales
• Build lasting relationships with clients, concierges, and hospitality partners throughout Napa Valley
• Provide personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
• Support winery events, inventory management, and day-to-day estate operations
• Represent the Martin Estate brand with professionalism and genuine passion

• 2+ years in luxury hospitality, wine sales, or a similar guest-facing role
• Genuine enthusiasm for wine and willingness to learn our portfolio deeply
• Strong communication skills and natural relationship-builder
• Comfortable with sales goals and accountability
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive – you see what needs doing and do it
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and special events
• Proficiency with POS/CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be 21+
