Automation QA Engineer

Rutherford, NJ Fulltime

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developed and maintained automated test scripts using Selenium Web Driver with Java and Python.
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify test scenarios and design appropriate test cases.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results to ensure accurate and reliable software functionality.
  • Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools as needed.
  • Identify and report software defects and work with development teams to troubleshoot issues.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and new testing tools to improve test automation efficiency continuously.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in automation testing using Selenium Web Driver.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and Python for scripting and test automation.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, PyTest).
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with other automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Appium).
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web services (RESTful APIs).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI).
  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications in software testing.
