Tow Truck Driver - Rutherford, NJ

About the Position

In this role, the Lucid Tow Truck Driver will be responsible for spending the majority of their time transporting vehicles between various Lucid service/delivery locations and customers. When not towing vehicles, support the service center as needed.

• Operate service tow truck/flat bed in a safe and legal manner in compliance with safety regulations.
• Transport Lucid vehicles between various local Lucid locations and customer homes. Occasional travel outside immediate geography may be necessary.
• Operate motor vehicles on and off Lucid premises safely for transport, pickup and delivery in support of service activities.
• Complete daily inspection of the truck for safety and adheres to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure trucks are kept clean and periodic maintenance is completed.
• Assist service department members as needed (i.e., wash vehicles, tire changes, move and stage vehicles).
• Perform other administrative and service support functions as needed.
• Ability and flexibility to travel on an as‑needed basis per business needs.
• Ability to work the dayshift schedule:
  Monday‑Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM with occasional weekend overtime.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 2 years current tow truck driving experience (flatbed experience preferred).
• Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office as well as leave proprietary DMS software.
• Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hire.
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire.

Where permitted by law, successful completion of a drug test and background check, including, but not limited to, motor vehicle records, is a condition of employment for Lucid service centers.

Base Pay Range (hourly): $27 – $38 USD
