Felician University is seeking a safety-conscious, flexible, and dependable bus driver who enjoys working with students in a college environment. The bus driver is responsible for transporting students, staff, and faculty between the Lodi and Rutherford campuses, as well as to approved off-campus events. S/he ensures that transportation vehicles are in a safe, clean operational mode through regular inspection of the vehicles utilized, and timely, thorough, and accurate reporting of safety and/or cleanliness issues to the Transportation Manager.

High School diploma or equivalent required
Qualifications:
Valid New Jersey driver’s license and certifications appropriate for the operation of respective vehicles; CDL Driver Class B license; safe driving record which meets the insurance requirements of the university; ability to read and interpret maps; ability to establish and maintain proper conduct and safety of passengers; demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, caution, and composure at all times when operating transportation vehicles;
level of fluency in verbal and written English sufficient to successfully perform required duties; skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties; ability to identify mechanical and safety hazards in a variety of transportation vehicles; physical requirements essential to safely and effectively perform required duties; thorough understanding of proper safety requirements for individuals with physical challenges;
flexibility in adjusting work schedule to meet the needs of students, staff ,and faculty for transportation needs outside of the regular work schedule; ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and core values of the University.
